Penne pasta carbonara
Every Sunday I give my boy a treat I cook him something special. I am no chef but I just love to cook and a food lover. Today I made a carbonara but didn't use the spaghetti but the penne noodles instead. Here's my recipe. Feel free to try them.
Ingredients:
2 packs of all purpose cream (250ml)
1 can button mushrooms (cut into strips)
250 grams penne noodles
1 can of luncheon meat (cubed)
1/4 cup cheese (cubed)
1/4 cup bacon (cut into small strips)
1/4 cup celery (cut into strips)
1 medium size onion (diced)
2 tsp virgin olive oil
Procedure:
- Cook bacon strips into low heat until brown and crisp and remove from pan and drain.
- Cook cubed luncheon meat until brown remove from pan and set aside.
- Cook noodles into salted boiling water with oil according to package instructions until al dente. Cooking time usually takes 6-9 minutes.
- Saute onions into virgin olive oil, add mushrooms, all purpose cream and cheese into low heat. Wait until the mixture thickens and the cheese melted. Add the noodles stir until fully covered with the white sauce.
- Remove from heat top with bacon and celery leaves. Enjoy!
Happy Sunday Everyone!
Till next.
