Wishlist 2014

Where have I been lately? I have no idea that a week has already gone by. It seems like that the holiday rush kept rushing to kick off the year already. I apologize though for the time I have been MIA because I was a little under the weather plus I have to do a general cleaning of the house because finally I was able to put up the tree and placed minimal decorations for the holidays. I know that some of you have already prepared and listed down the menus for the Noche Buena and gifts were already wrapped and placed them under the trees. As for us, we enjoyed the Kids Craze sale during the past week and feast our eyes with marked down toys there and my kid-at-heart loverboy was a happy camper after he finally get to take home his long time fancied robot. Will do a separate post for this. Anyhow, it has been my practice that I list down my wishlist for the upcoming year so that I would have something to look forward to. It may not be realized but at least I know I have to do better to fu...

When a person reached the age of 20’s they will be on the look for products that will improve their skin and remove unwanted entities. There are a lot of products in the market that gives promise of a beautiful you. So many products that sometimes takes so much effort to place just all sorts of creams in different areas of the body, which oftentimes makes no difference at all. Have you ever experienced it? I, for one tried all sorts of lotions and facial creams but instead of removing entities it makes it worse. What does it take really to have a good skin? Aside from having healthy diet, moisturizing and cleansing the skin, also making sure to stick to the safe way of treating the skin and no to exposure of too much chemicals. When I became a medical professional, I was on the look of innovative, safe and effective way of getting rid of unwanted entities; at least a package treatment that would cover all my needs in one sitting. Who doesn’t want an all-in package, especially that achi...

Love At First Sip by Brownbag Coffee

Image
Don’t you just love to wake up to the aroma of the coffee in the morning? Something that will jumpstart and will your day a productive one. I must admit that I have those dull and lazy moments that sometimes need a little kick to make me even more worthy. Coffee and I have this exquisite relationship. It has become a routine in my day that having to skip it sometimes makes me feel incomplete. Few years back, when I was still in college, I would usually make a coffee shake as a beverage for brainstorming in our thesis projects. It has also been a beverage buddy during those days when I was still working in the hospital and keeps me alert during night shift. It was also our first drink when Mr. Lover and I dated for the first time. It was also my relief from the headaches when I was gravid. Those are the few reasons why coffee plays a big role in my life. Being a coffee junkie means standards are set high thus ready to mix beverages doesn’t seem to satisfy the palate anymore. Oftentimes...

When Sorry Isn't Enough

It’s a parent’s primary duty to raise our kids and protect them from any harm. As a parent of a toddler, I try my very best to raise my kids the best I see fit. But what if beyond circumstances suddenly an innocent kid was accused of hurting person? As a parent how will you deal with it? The kids and I went to a nearby mall for a weekend bonding. We decided to have dinner at the food court adjacent to the grocery store since it was the nearest fast food I know. After we had our orders, we walked our way to vacant table. I carefully held my kids as we go through the tables and chairs because the area was crowded that time. After we settle down and prepare for our dinner, a lady in her mid 40’s and big body built approached me with rage in her eyes and in a loud voice told me, “ Miss, yung bata yung bata dinale ako dito oh. Wag kase kayo dadaan sa masisikip na lugar. Yung bata dinale ako dito. Ayan oh! ” I was caught unguarded because she came out of nowhere and she was really furious. M...

Holiday Cheer

Image
Few weeks ago while I was busy cooking dinner I heard my son sang the Jingle Bell song. Even though the words weren’t clear, I knew he was singing a Christmas song. But how? We haven’t played a Christmas song in our house. Little did I know that he learned the song from an application in his ipod. Oh kids these days! I can’t believe that it’s only few weeks before Christmas and with all the holiday decorations everywhere, it sure does feel like Christmas already. Last weekend, the kids and me went to a nearby mall together with J. We decided to stroll around the area while waiting for J’s meeting. But since the meeting was dinnertime and we were all hungry, I decided to have dinner first at the food court from their favorite fast food. I have been going back and forth at our nearby grocery with only the kids and me and so they knew already where we are heading. There is something about grocery stores that they are so giddy about, maybe because they see a lot of food? I guess so! Anyway...
