TLC : Oh no Wig!

Image
Before I share with you my TLC, let me rant about something first. I went out early morning to go to the grocery. It's not really that early because it was past 9:00 am already. Since grocery store is near our place like 2 blocks away I just walk down the street and go through street vendors who occupied mostly the sidewalk.  When I went out the grocery store it was traffic! Trucks, padyaks,  SUVs and cars everywhere and suddenly it dawned on me pasukan nga  pala sa office. I was walking back to our apartment when I heard a tricycle honking behind me and I heard  the driver complaining that I should walk on the sidewalk not the street. Take note, he's doing a counterflow! Ang kapal talaga! He didn't stop ranting as if he was doing the right way and I raised my voice and told him," kapal ng mukha niyo counterflow nga kayo jan!"   But at the back of my mind, " tumabi na lang ako ng bongga at wala itong pambayad ng reconstructive surgery ko in case banggain niya...

Sunkissed in Lisland Rainforest Resort

Image
Summer is near and it’s time to hit those resorts/beaches and get that sunkissed skin! It has been 2 years since the last time I enjoyed a summer getaway because its either I was pregnant or have a small baby that needs my dire attention. Little girl just turned a year old and my little boy is 28 months old enough to enjoy summer with them and have fun as a family. Boredom has really motivated me a lot to go with J to one of his out of town business meetings. Since it was only roughly 3 hours from Manila I brave my way going with him despite the yayaless situation we have. It was our second time in Urdaneta City with the kids but the first one I was with my sister so somebody was keeping my toddler busy aside from me. But this time, I do all the manning from keeping them busy along the way and feeding them en route to Urdaneta. I must say it was hard but the pride that I was able to handle it all throughout is priceless and we get to enjoy our mini vacation as a family. The night...

Family Fun at Fun Ranch

Image
Yesterday we went to the first birthday party of my god son at Fun Ranch in Ortigas. The party was supposed to start at 2:00 in the afternoon but we arrived at 4:30  already! Lol. What happend? As usual when I ask my little boy to hurry up and keep his toys because we wil go go go he doesn't seem to listen and worst is he will just play while I get ready and finish all my chores. While on our way to Ortigas all the possible delaying tactics happend already from unexplainable traffic to taking the wrong street! Oh well, it happens. It was my second time at Fun Ranch (yes,we live far from the area that's why) I didn't know that they have venues where they hold their events I only knew of the fun rides for kids there.  Moving forward, when we arrived at the venue they have started and almost done with the party. They were having clown performance already. G who is the host of the party asked LJ to sit infront and join the kids while we get something to eat. A little while, my ...

TLC : Cockroach

Image
LJ hurriedly went out of the room shaking and screaming as if he saw a monster. LJ : Mama! Mama! Yook (look)! Crying holding his toy car Me : Why are you crying baby? What happened? Still puzzled because he was shaking and scared. I thought he was scared of his toy car which produces sound. But then, LJ: Mama! Cockcoach (cockroach)! Cockcoach (cockroach)! Me : Show me where is that cockroach mama will remove it. Then he pointed a small insect lying on the floor still scared and shaking. I found myself laughing because my son is scared of a small insect smaller than his toe! LJ : Tityu (thank you) mama!  Me : Welcome baby. He got scared because of this small bug Till my next TLC.

Oral Care : Sansfluo Review

Image
Oral care is essential in all ages even with our tots. This is for early prevention of dental carries with your child and is highly recommended to see a dentist when your child starts tooth eruption. They will guide you especially if you are a first time mom on how to do proper oral care with your child. Little girl is on her 4th teeth eruption and was told by our family dentist, to use gauze lampin  and water and rub it on her teeth. But I am not satisfied with it for some reasons. One is when I stick my finger inside her mouth gently  to clean her teeth, I would always wrestle with her and she would end up crying. Major fail!  Second, she has alot of appetite and eats everything I feed her so just like any adults when we don't use a toothpaste she would have unpleasant mouth odor. Looking back, during the first time I did oral care with my son, I thought it was easy only to find out it was pretty hard. Aside from the first time I will do it with a toddler, everything se...

Image
We were inside the car and little boy wants to drink water and his father was running 100kph. Told him be careful he might spill the water inside the car. A little while he was so impatient of trying to place his mouth in the spout then suddenly, LJ: Papa, sow dow (slow down)! Me : What is it baby? LJ: Sow dow!  Me : Love did he just say slow down? J: What are you doing son? LJ: Drink mamam J: Son did you mean slow down?  Like this? slowly decelerating LJ: kei (okay), tityu (thank you) papa! Now we have a talking speedometer! Till my next TLC.

Quick Meals : Sinasa and Egg drop Vegetable Misua

Image
Ever wonder what to do with your left over fried fish? Aside from the usual stew and sarsiado, I am sharing with you a simple and easy recipe. You will just need patience in shredding the fish. This recipe is called sinasa (I forgot what is this called in english). Ingredients: 4 fried fish (used matambaka fish here), shredded 3 tomatoes, cubed 1 onion, cubed 2 cloves garlic, minced lemon to taste salt to taste Procedure: Shred the fish and remove the bones. Mix all the ingredients and serve. I made my kids a simple soup which is the egg drop vegetable misua soup. Ingreadients: 3 cups of water 1 vegetable broth cube ½ cup grated carrots ½ cabbage sliced thinly misua egg Procedure: Boil water and add broth cube. Add the vegetables and misua and let it simmer for a minute. Drop the beaten egg and mix well. Serve. Do you have quick fix recipes? Share yours.
