On Mother's Day
If there's one thing I have to thank for my existence, is my mother. If not for her, I didn't get to experience what life has to offer. My mom is not fond of fancy celebrations on special occasions. I don't have any recollection that we spent mother's/father's day the way others did. I didn't even recall that my dad made it special for my mom or by surprising her with gifts. All I can remember is every mother's day we always give her letters which I don't know if she kept some of it. She has always been a simple woman and I am her opposite in some ways. But I have always looked up on her and until now I still haven't figured out how she was able to manage to raise the four of us. That, I am so thankful and proud of her.
I spent the mother's day and our 42nd monthsary with the kids because J is on a week business trip. Nothing fancy also just an ordinary day not even a queen just for one day. #wishfulthinking I had alot of chores to do but I spent the whole day trying to relax and spare myself from domestic duties. So the entire day we just had a lazy instant meal not even a take-out (whew). In the afternoon me, my sister and the kids went to the church to see Papa Jess and did grocery shopping afterwards.
These are some photos from my instagram account:
I let the kids watch their favorite, Ishime (Einstein). I love how they interact with the video and the simple joy it brings.
Me and the little monster at the church a bit sleepy already didn't care to smile anymore.
"What tat mama?" Then, he was already engrossed with the angry birds flashing on the tv screen at the grocery store. #nganga
One knocked out baby while roaming around the grocery. Tired.
I am thankful for my kulit kids for giving me the opportunity to become a mother. I wouldn't be called a MOTHER if not for them anyway. For the joys and pain they brought me has become my strength to be a strong woman and mother to them. It also made me realize to be not only the better but to be the best I can be.
To all mom's out there I hope you had a wonderful mother's day. Cheers!
