La Union Botanical Garden
Before I post a blog about our recent epic fail visit at Manila Zoo I will first make a blog post about our La Union trip few years back, my son’s very first mini zoo/garden adventure.
It was an ordinary out of town business trip of J when he thought of bringing us with him. That time I had a nanny, the very first nanny my friend recommended to me from an agency. She was good by the way except the fact she gets dizzy on our trip only to find out she was pregnant. Whew!
Anyway, out trip was on a rainy season already so we didn’t consider going to the beach. We just checked in on a hotel facing the beach and have a pool facility. My little boy that time was still reluctant to swimming. He cries like there’s no tomorrow whenever we try to dip him into a pool. So we really didn’t get to enjoy swimming then.
I searched on the net for tourist destinations in La Union and the one that looked very promising was the La Union Botanical Garden. It was a first time to J’s ears so we asked for assistance from J’s business partner to guide us to the place. It was a secluded area and I’m pretty sure if given any chance to go back there, we will have a hard time looking for the place again.
They also have an aviary, which housed few animals like monkeys and birds of different species.
We didn’t go that far and climb up the trek because it was so humid that time and the place was full of mosquitoes. My nanny forgot to bring the anti-mosquito for my little boy.
Before going home we enjoyed few swings at the children’s garden, which is located near the entrance.
