I am in the hype again of blogging about our family bonding last weekend--the weekend that contained us inside the house for the next three days. Not that we can't live inside the house but the feeling of no outside world because the outside world’s weather has just gone mad. Oh boy.
J promised the little boy that we would go to a The World of Toyota carshow on a weekend. Of course the little boy was very much delighted but the only thing that made us back out last Saturday was the non-stop rain. We waited until the next day hoping that the rain would somehow subside.
To our dismay, it didn't subside at all. So we just brave our way in going there to at least see in the flesh the 34million sports car and satisfy my little boy’s eyes seeing the pretty cars at the carshow.
Indeed it was well worth it. Seeing my little boy awed by the array of cars from the carshow was priceless. He even picked a car he liked—the Toyota F cruiser. I don’t know why but it was the one he liked. Boboy, you need a lot of saving up to do.
I told him to smile for the photo, that's what he did.
After delighting out eyes from the carshow, we still managed to go to the nearby mall to buy little stuff and fill our hungry tummies. This time, not a Dabidi-kind-of-dinner but a little close to a fastfood still. We had dinner at Chowking but was quite surprised that my little rambunctious monsters enjoyed their food or maybe they were just too hungry? Either way, that made me happy.
LF-LC Lexus (I love the tail light as well as the interiors.)

This caught my attention. Lucky 13.

After dinner, it dawned on us the current situation. The non-stop rain that we suddenly realized that our area gets flooded easily. On our way home, it was already traffic and all the roads were already flooded knee level! We had to take re routes and every street we took were already flooded and cars were going back and forth. It was literally zero visibility. This was our view inside the car on our way home.
After an hour of going around different streets, finally we reached our destination! Our street was already flooded and from what it looks it was knee level. We couldn’t see the pavements anymore and just braved our way to our house.
Oh boy. It was one hell of a bittersweet family bonding. A weekend we will never forget.
How was your typhoon weekend?
