Silver Lining

Image
Have you watched the 3d animated movie The Croods? My kids loved it so much especially my little girl. She even mimics some sounds from the movie and giggles with action scenes. image from google Anyway, this post isn’t about a movie but rather the lesson behind it. The Croods’ family basically lived from fear justifying their survival from the jungle. Adventure is not what they consider as fun idea but rather a threat to their survival. Browsing through the blogs i'm following, I saw Kim of Mom on Duty's blogpost  about her experience about the negativity around her. All the while I thought I am alone in this negative soil but hey, I have sisters from another family pala ! It’s not being happy about it and not even considering this as something to be proud of but at least someone other than me is braver to share a part of her. The very reason why I don’t want also to share negativity in this blog is I don’t want to spread negative vibes to the people but as what Kim mentioned,...

Jolo Turns Three

Image
As what I have mentioned from my previous post, we intend to celebrate D’s third birthday in a way he will enjoy his childhood and hone him to be an outgoing person. We want him to celebrate the beauty of life through outdoor activities as well as gain learning from it. It has also been a tradition that we celebrate his birthday through an overnight stay in a hotel. This year, we went to celebrate his birthday in Momarco Resort. After posting his birthday plans here , a good friend Krisna of The Mudrabelle, suggested it and looking at the website it was one promising place. We planned on a simple celebration. The celebration should include blowing of candle and opening of gift. At first we thought of giving him robot toy because he is recently engrossed aside from toy cars. But when he saw the pictures of bikes at the back of the Breeze detergent pack, he now asked for a bike. He even told us to buy one for her sister too. So I ordered cake from my f...

On Promises

Image
Today I made my kids happy. I fulfilled a promise I made several days ago. Now I can sleep soundly without having to worry about breaking his heart. During the past week, it was mentioned to me by the organizers of Baby Expo Philippines which yours truly is a proud media partner that there will be a mommy bloggers meet. Having known the schedule, I tried to coordinate my schedule with J as well as my cousin. But since both of them were busy, I am left with no choice but to decline. But on a second thought, I made a promise to a young boy that I am bound to keep. Since the Press Con ’s venue was at the Big Red Barn at Fun Ranch, the invited guests are allowed to bring their kids. But the idea of bringing the kids to an event means my attention will be divided into three; most especially I have two toddlers. It’s hard, yes. Emotionally and physically exhausting at some point. But right now, I try to practice positive parenting to my kids and avoid strain and p...

Image
Before I call the night, or should I say morning already, I would like to share with you the Press Conference I attended earlier. As a media partner of the said event, I am proud to say that the event has been officially launched. Even if it was stressful having to tag along two kids at the PressCon as well as the mommy bloggers meet, it was all worth it. I like how they made the event family friendly that I get to tag along my kids to the event. My little girl was awed with the balloons and well she immediately muched on the lollipop handed to her at the registration. My little boy was more than happy to see alot of kids also because he knows it's going to be playtime for them.  The BABY & FAMILY EXPO PHILIPPINES 2013 – “Welcoming Life, Love and Care” , the country’s biggest family expo for all maternity, baby, early childhood and parenting needs was officially launched last October 24, 2013 at Fun Ranch, located at Frontera Verde, Pasig City. The media launch wa...
