Bittersweet

Forgive me for being on a hiatus for the past weeks. I know I promised something but let me first share with you how our week went. June has been fast paced and I feel like racing with time. Two weeks has gone by on a single brink of my eye. Summer is officially over and not a chance of a beach getaway. Sigh.

Remember my status in facebook where I told everyone that my cousin was involved in a vehicular accident? Well, he is now out of the hospital and survived the brain surgery. He is now up and about like no accident happened. God is indeed good all the time. I just hope justice will be served.

Then there was father's day and Boboy's big day. I had so many plans blue printed in my mind but time didn't allow me and my energy already seemed to bail out. We were so burnt out from all the overwhelming things that happened. So what we did on his big day? Off we went shopping! I must tell you that I have proven once again that I am one supermom! In the middle of the shopping spree, the little girl fell asleep and I carried her for two hours and went to the loo with her asleep! Whew!

We celebrated father's day at the park and continued the rest of the day organizing things here at home. Mind you, I already rearranged the living room for the nth time moving cabinets here and there and hopefully it would come to an end. I need to set-up the kids' room in a way they will be encouraged to learn and enjoy playing at the same time. I guess I have already achieved half of it. Since it is already rainy season, I have to lessen our stuff at the ground floor because I'm afraid that it might flood come heavy rain. I’m quite paranoid of the dreadful experience last year so we have to be prepared. Finally, Boboy has already finished with his little project which is the entertainment room in our family slash living room enough for the kids to enjoy watching movies the cinema way.

But all the never-ending chores crippled me the other day and felt like I won’t be able to move again. This however is a reminder for me to slow down a bit on some household chores. I had painful popliteal area (back of the knee), which was caused by my tortuous and distended varicose veins, which was due for sclerotherapy few years ago. Now I am afraid that it will need surgery this time. But I will try to assess in the following days to come. I cannot just make abrupt decision as it needs big buck to do the surgery and you know I am quite a scaredy-cat when it comes to myself having the idea of operating room! Hopefully, the pain won’t recur anymore. I still have little fitness to do.

So how about you? How was your June so far?
