It's a brand new year and everyone welcomed it with a loud bang! Well, maybe at least for some. The past year has been very good to me despite all of its mishaps along the way. Before the year ended, the kitchen has been very busy so much that I missed staying late up night and managed to finish all the orders from my sweet kitchen. No, I am not complaining and in fact, I am blessed to serve everyone and those who patronized my products.
Amidst our entire busy schedule, we see to it to have a little time to shop for gifts for our loved ones. My plan was to let the kids experience the surprise gift from Santa but wasn't realized at all. Okay no more excuses, this year I will make sure to let them experience it. Their expressions were so priceless when they opened their surprises from Santa.
Before we headed for our year-end vacation, I made it a point to make the house squeaky clean to welcome the good vibes of the New Year. I was just so thankful for the help of relatives; I was able to at least sort some things from our humble abode.
One thing, which is unique this year, was our DIY tree--a minimalist one. When we had our recent beach trip, the kids initiated to pick some fan-shaped shells along the shoreline that gave me an idea of why not make it into an ornament and hang it in our mini DIY Christmas tree. It then became the star of our mini living room where the kids would stay and watch the lights that flicker every night.
This year, I will focus on my goals that I consider new beginnings. After a not-so-thorough contemplation, I have shortlisted some and here are they:
1. Focus on homeschooling. We had few informal lessons with the kids the past year, but I will see to it to dedicate at least an hour or two everyday to teach them formal lessons this year. Here is to hoping to bank more patience for them. Crossing fingers.
2. Close Family ties. The past year, two of our loved ones passed away, and when I went home for our vacation it feels like the home is not complete. There were few misunderstandings amongst other relatives and I am thankful that we were able to bridge those gaps. Life is too short for petty dramas. Live happily while we can. 3. Work hard. This mini business that I ventured, I will make issue that I will work harder and focus on my goals--that also includes this cybernook of mine. Here is to lessen my backlogs and create a balance between my responsibilities. I have faith, and I know I can do it.
4. Health is wealth. This year, I will make sure to complete the kids' delayed vaccinations. They have been delinquent last year due to occasional sickness prior to their scheduled vaccinations. A strict schedule will be implemented this year. Also, I will try to make the family eat right and better.

5. Money-wise. The budgeting has taken some recourse although I know I have been very frugal in everything but there are still lapses and some portions of it, which were overlooked. The goal for this year is to be very strict on how we spend each dime of our hard earned money. Will then look into the 52-week money challenge, which I failed to implement last year.
These are my priority goals for this year. I hope and pray that I will be able to achieve each of them.
How about you? What are your goals this year?
