Ceelin Plus; Superior Protection for our Children

Image
Our family's DNA has all types of who-knows-what kind of allergies we have. As much as we would like to alter it, we can never change the fact that it is within us. So when I had kids, I was really praying so hard that they won't inherit it. But as inevitable as it seems, they had all sorts of allergies too. I know for a fact being a nurse-mom, that the only way to beat it is to have a strong immune system. Having the knowledge of what I needed to prevent it as well as the trigger factors makes me want my children to have all the nutrition and shield needed in order for them to prevent the occurrence of these allergies. In these industrialized generation, these triggering factors are almost as inevitable as it seems. I know I can never shield my children from it as much as I want to 24/7. The only way we can fight these infections and other what-nots is to boost their immune system and supplement them with the right kind of food. But sometimes you cannot provide them wi...

Hi-Precision Diagnostics Commits High Quality Healthcare for Everyone

To say that healthcare in the Philippines has evolved increasingly in recent years is an understatement. Gone are the days when Filipinos play a passive role in terms of their health, consulting only a doctor when they experience pain and other debilitating symptoms. Today, the concept of healthcare in the country has emerged from merely providing treatment to the diseased, to early diagnosis and improvement of overall health status. As more and more Filipinos realize the crucial role of early diagnosis, a leading diagnostics center in the country has been setting the trends in preventive healthcare. Hi-Precision Diagnostics (HPD), with the largest network of diagnostic centers in the country, provides services for the entire range of patient care from a single source – from imaging, laboratory, microbiology, as well as special tests like paternity test, and even genetic testing for inherited cancer risks. Known to be a pioneer in the industry, HPD offers recognized, accurate, and affo...

Merck, together with the Philippine Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (PSREI) today announced a series of awareness-building initiatives to foster greater understanding of infertility among Filipinos. The information campaign was embarked upon to commemorate Fertility Awareness Month in August, which recognizes the growing population of Filipino couples who are finding it difficult to conceive. “With the observance of Fertility Awareness Month, Merck, together with PSREI aim to help childless Filipino couples to learn more about their condition and to realize that there are solutions to the challenge that they face,” said Dr. Gio Barangan, Medical Director, Merck Philippines. “It is also an opportunity for them to meet couples who were successful in their fertility treatment, so that they can gain confidence in the country’s pool of fertility experts and treatment facilities and thereby remain hopeful in starting a family.”     Part of the efforts...

SnR Shopping; August Finds

Image
If there is one thing I enjoy doing is a trip to grocery store. This, I find therapeutic at least to a mom like who has been nannyless for years already. What I love going there too is finding a new product which is useful to the family and most of all, channeling my inner frugal self. It is the  trait which I got from my mom. Every chance we get and if budget permits, we see to it to buy something  in bulk because it can save us a lot more.  In this post, I will be sharing with you few things we got from SnR shopping. We love scoring good deals there because  we can save a lot from our monthly budget because our supplies last for months. It is also our guilt pleasure for scoring chocolates and other imported goods which we can’t find in regular grocery stores.  Here are the things we got: Tide 10kg Laundry Detergent. Trust me on this one, this is a steal! Got this for Php 650.00 only. Starbucks Mocha Coffee Starbucks Double ...

Let the kids enjoy their meals in school

Image
Since the school year has started, many parents would have really had a hard time of creating a meal plan for the little kids. Admit it, it is very hard since you have a lot of considerations. It has to be healthy and of course, they have to take home an empty lunchbox. But what does it really take for you to accomplish these things? How do you manage the kids without the fit to get them to finish and enjoy their food at school? Listed here are some of the hacks that you might find useful for your weekly meal plan for the kids. Hack #1: Little eaters need rules Granted, it’s a parent’s instinct to set rules and standards for the kids. But there will always be a part of you that’s afraid of being too stiff because you don’t want your children to rebel. You know what? The whole “rules = rebellion” belief is a myth. Studies say moms and dads who set ground rules for their children are also the warmest of parents. Don’t hesitate to start a “No-Thank-You Bite Rule” for yo...

Vita Cubes; Guilt Free Kids' Treat

Image
Eldest: Who ate all the candies? Daughter: Me!!!! This was the conversation of my toddlers last week. I find it cute at some point but when they start to annoy each other, that's when my ticking bomb will start to tick as well. Oh boy, the joy of motherhood.  So, there is an impending need for me to control the sweets in this household or at least have the ability to hide them from the kids. Honestly, I am the mom that would let my kids experience all the things I did when I was a kid. BUT, I let them on the right time. Admittedly, I did delay letting them indulge in candies as well as chocolates just so, they will learn to control it too. Flashback when I enjoy few trips to groceries because it is the only time I can pick the food I want. One of which are the gummy candies which comes in different shapes and color. The colors and shapes of it make it more enticing and appealing to me.  When Vita Cubes send out invites to mommy bloggers, I wa...

Museo Pambata; Happy Learning Place for Children

Image
My kids and I loves going places to discover as a family. I enjoy observing their look when they discover new things and when they are too curious with their surroundings. This is one of the joys of motherhood that I am very proud of and that I get to witness each of it. Since my kids are homeschooled, few trips to educational places are always on my list. I always see to it to be able to take them whenever time and budget permits. I have been on the look for places where I can take them and admittedly, some of it is not yet appropriate for their age. But good thing there was an invite with one of the places I have been wanting to go to which also tickled my curiosity, which is the Museo Pambata (Children;s Museum). Admittedly, when I was in grade school, there were only limited places where we go to especially during our educational tours. This is the very first time that I have been to a museum intended for children, as an adult. Yes. In the morning, I was able to atten...
