Why You Shouldn't Miss Another #MBPHalloween2016

Image
Halloween is the time of the year where my kids would look forward to always because it is where they can get to dress up their costumes. My kids love dressing up and every year they get to choose whatever costume they fancy. This year, we can get to celebrate the halloween with one of my favorite mommy bloggers community. Much like two years ago, it is always fun to attend event with them because I get to meet new online friends and meet new kids. Did you know that as early as August we were already able to buy them costumes? Yes that early because we don't want to go through the hassle of buying last minute for their costumes. And it was always worth it. This year, the halloween party was held at The Mind Museum because they were kind enough to sponsor the venue as well as complimentary tickets to their Science Circus (watch out for that). As usual, there are lots of new sponsors again this year and quite overwhelming. But you know what, th...

The Mind Museum's Science Circus has come to Town!

Image
Science Circus Step Right Up! Is the latest traveling exhibition of the Mind Museum, showcasing the amusing, the peculiar, and the extraordinary in our everyday experiences, in the form of interactive exhibits that deceive the senses and boggle the mind. Be ready to #EnterTheScienceCircus this coming October 28, 2016! While the nearly 250-year history of the circus abounds with awe-inspiring demonstrations of physical skill - such as flying aerial artists, to death defying daredevils - the Science Circus challenges our traditional notions of a circus  by focusing on the mind's "acrobatic"perceptual tricks. As the guests enter the exhibition, they are welcomed by a festive, colorful facade which sets the tone for the sights and sounds they are about to experience. These interactive exhibits are displayed simultaneously in three adjacent Rings. Guests can go in any of the Rings in the order they please.  RING ONE, or Deception Perception is a menag...

TSM Review: Cyan's Cradle Hybrid Fitted Diaper

Image
In this blogpost I will be featuring one cloth diaper brand which is close to my heart, Cyan’s Cradle. I was one of the lucky few who bought her nappies when the WAHM behind it started her business months ago. Her creations were tested to her almost 24 months old son who is a heavy wetter baby. When I bought her first few nappies back then, I was pretty much satisfied with its absorbency considering my son was a medium wetter. But I was glad that over time, she improves all her creations which makes us happy mommy and baby. Me and my son started with two nappies from her and later on bought again several. Her first few soakers where tailored in a way where you can opt to use one layer only, two layers or add additional booster to it of needed. Over time, the second nappy we bought was snake style and this time is like sandwich type. But let me talk about the latest nappy I got from her which is one of our favorites, a Mavel kawaii print nappy. Hybrid fitted is compose...

Pharex ensures your loved one’s safety with every medication

The idea of close family ties is widespread among Filipinos as evidenced in their habits and practices. Filipinos value the concept of extended families with in-laws living in one household or overseas workers who overcome loneliness in order to support the family or of caring for the elderly members at home instead of packing them off to a hospice for the aged. But more importantly, family members care about their loved ones’ health as much as they care of their own. Filipinos show concern for the people they love most, especially the elderly, by taking care of them when they are sick. Health concerns are usually discussed with the trusted members of the family for motivation to recover and further assistance. Indeed, oftentimes, family members come together in nursing a sickly member back to health or when paying medical bills. Other than ensuring that their loved ones’ health are monitored, family members actively see to it that medical regimens are maintained s...

TSM Review: Matte in Detail Contour Kit

Image
Local products has been steeping up with their products at being at par with the foreign brands. If only I have the liberty to splurge on products, I would buy and try them all for you. But I am just limited to what I think is just and somewhat within the budget of other mommies. Because you know, I am a mom and my money is budgeted to the kids. Yes, real talk.  Anyway, the product I will share with you right now is the Detail Make Over Contour Kit. I got this from the brand launch several months ago. I know, sorry too swamped with mom duties and sick kids one after the other. Anyway, here it is. Honestly, this is the very first local contour kit I had. If I wasn't invited to the brand launch I would never knew this kit has existed. The ones that I use for contour, highlight and blush are three different brands. I am just happy that finally I have a kit/palette and the best pat is, a local brand too.  This kit contains six products in one. Two contour powders, o...

TSM Review: Vaseline Lip Therapy

Image
The weather in my side of the world has only two seasons--the wet and dry. During the transition form wet to dry and vice versa, I always have hard time not only with the health of the children but also my skin. For the past weeks where the weather is such a bipolar, I have been dealing with my dry lips to the point that there is always tugging effect when I apply lip product and I don't like it. Not only it looks unhealthy but also accompanied with pain because of dryness. I am obsessed with lip products and admittedly, I have more lip products than my foundations and other make-ups. Much like eyebrows, I cannot leave the house without any lip products on. Because you know, lips is life also. Haha! Again, I have tried a lot of lip treatments and lip masks that I have never heard of, but still nothing happened. I was really looking for local sellers of the the overnight lip mask from Laniege, but to no avail. Then I saw Vaseline lip therapy which comes in a smal...

Life Lessons From Pessimism

Image
It is with a heavy heart that I will write this blog post. But since I have been putting it off for years already, I might as well publish it now. This has been sitting in my drafts for too long. But everytime I read it, it sounds really bad because it has just too much hate in it and I don't want that kind of post here anymore (if I have, apologies). This might be a little TMI (too much information) but I assure you, what I am sharing here is just part of it. I believe this might be of help to those who are/might be going through the same situation and prevent it at some point. Not everyone knows (because I really do not like sharing it) that I grew up in a pessimist family. Well, sort of a parent only because my mom eversince was an optimistic person. I thought growing up that way was the normal kind. Everything we do and try to do is just not right nor allowed. My siblings and I had only one support in everything we do and that is coming from my mom. Most of the time we...

Baon In School In Tupperware

Image
My mom has been my inspiration when it comes to my parenting my children. Much like her, I was a dedicated mom ever since my eldest has been born. We like to DIY stuff and I think the essence to it is the love we put to everything we do. That way, our children would see our efforts on how we really work hard to give them what is best. Growing up, she likes to send us baon to school everyday and I remember that time she would wake up really early just to prepare baon for us four siblings. She want us to have healthy and safe food to eat and most of all to save money and effort going through the canteen line in school. She would tell us that she doesn't know how the food was prepared in school so we better bring our own food safely prepared with love at home. Our already heavy bags that we lug to school everyday contains books, notebooks and most of all our baon in her trusted brand in food keeper which is the Tupperware brand. In my recollection, this has been with us e...
