2017: A Roller Coaster Ride

Days before the clock strikes twelve and turn into another year, I tried to reminisce the year that was in general. In those times wherein I struggled the day in order for me and the kids to get by, the days where there were happy problems, and most of all the days wherein everything else were chaos.

The start of my 2017 was a bit frustrating. Well, not really about family thing, but all other uncontrollable stuff that I do not want to elaborate further as it is just bad vibes for me. The first quarter was really challenge as I was really pissed off of our situation that time and that I was forced to look for a new place  because our apartment was already a toxic place to live in. In those years that I prayed, God must have really answered them in the most unexpected way for He has given us what we needed. But the challenges that came with it was really to test our faith in Him. First quarter of the year has passed and we already moved to a new home, moving to a more peaceful, quiet and kid-friendly place was what I wished for my children to grow up with, away from  the busy life at the center of the business district.

Packing and organizing our stuff while taking care of three children was a challenge. But in God's grace, I was able to do it and heck I didn't know how was I able to manage packing all our stuff whilst energetic children. I am just so thankful for my family who were there for their help. But despite all that happened, I am just so happy that finally we are able to move to "our" home.

We also celebrated my daughter's birthday at Baguio, something to be thankful for because we were still able to squeeze in family travel before the mini chaos began. The kids enjoyed the cold weather as well as my youngest. This time, they do remember now their travels and not only in their pictures.

This year, I have two schoolers, one in Kinder and Grade one and I am glad that they were able to adjust in the new school and environment. Our everyday life is twice as challenging as those in our old place because of unpacking and organizing our stuff, but still we/I still manage to survive.

My son turned seven this year and thankfully, he only asked for a simple Jollibee party with his classmates as his guests. With technology, I was able to book his birthday virtually and able to plan things ahead for him. He was so happy how it turned out and says thank you to those who went.

All those stress inducing events and roller coaster ride of emotions has taken its toll on me. I have neglected myself so much that my resort was stress eating. This will be a wake up call on me to take care also of myself not just my family. And this year my main goal is really to manage the food I eat.

Lastly, I am just so thankful for my family for giving me strength everyday to cope up with all life's challenges, for the extended family for extending their help when needed, for the friends who were there to listen and for all the brands who supported this humble space of mine. I am so grateful for all the blessings. This 2018, may it bring us more blessings and be able to share them and more collaborations to come.
