Paluto at All Day Supermarket; A Gastronomic Adventure

Ever since we moved to the south, it feels like we were meant to be here and that there is no turning back. We left the busy city of the central business district in Makati and if there is one thing that we missed is the convenience of our occasional cravings for food. Yes, our family loves adventure and we love food that is probably the reason why we have a bigger allocation for food every month.

Last weekend, I was invited to try one of the hidden gastronomic gems of the south and that is Paluto at All Day Supermarket in Global South Branch. The place is 15 minutes away from our house accessible through the friendship route. The idea of their restaurant is that you will shop for your food in the supermarket and have it cooked by their cooks for a fee. For a busy mom like me, once in a week adventure with the kids here is nice since this is a very good teaching opportunity when you have small kids to answer their never ending questions about how I really shop for food at the wet market. You will walk with them the process of how we shop, prepare and cook food that is served on the table.

The concept of the restaurant is that you shop for your food and let Paluto cook it for you, that is why it is called Paluto. I like the idea for many reasons:

  • You can shop while your food is being prepared and cooked. There is no wasted time and added bonding with your kids.
  • You have a great selection of food so you can really satisfy your cravings with freshly cooked food. Plus, kids get to see live shrimps in a water tank!
  • This is a good opportunity to teach them food and menu planning and proper budgeting.
  • You can enjoy food just like when you are in the comforts of your home, you can eat with bare hands!

Here are some of what we had at Paluto:

Aside from the cooked meals that we got to enjoy, they also have varieties of food that we can choose from. The fellow mommy bloggers enjoyed the best selling milktea from Bubble Wrap Ph and the daddies got to enjoy halo-halo from Cold Burst.

After delighting ourselves with the food, we checked some pastries at Bake My Day. I cannot wait to get some more because my family loves pastries so much!

If you want this kind of gastronomic adventure like we did, you may visit Paluto By All Day Supermarket at Global South or any All Day Supermarket.
